José Albertino Figueiredo was born in 1961. He obtained a degree in Chemistry, Organic / Biochemistry, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, in 1986. Tests of Pedagogical Aptitude and Scientific Capacity at UBI, in 1990, PhD at UBI, in 1997. He held various positions: Director of the 1st cycle in Medicinal Chemistry since 2011. Member of the Council of the Faculty of Sciences of 2 009 to 2017. Chairman of the Department of Chemistry from November 2015 to date. Has developed research based on: Organic Chemistry; Chemistry of Carbohydrates; Spectroscopic Methods.
