Albertina Maria Mendes Marques Bento Amaro was born in 1958 in Vila Velha de Ródão.
Graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Classical University of Lisbon obtained the degree of PhD in Chemistry at the University of Beira Interior, 2000. She has been an Auxiliary Professor, with permanent appointment, at the Department of Chemistry at UBI since April 2000. She is a member of the Commission for the Doctoral Course in Chemistry. Developed/supervised studies of electrolyte solutions and contamination of water resources.
Supervised/co-supervised several PhD students and several Masters students. He is a member of the Portuguese Society of Chemistry and the Portuguese Society of Electrochemistry.
