Maria Lúcia Almeida da Silva holds a degree in Applied Chemistry – Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and obtained a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Beira Interior, in 2001. She is an Auxiliary Professor and develops her research work at the Department of Chemistry at UBI. Develops studies in area of Chemistry of Natural Products; Aromatic and Medicinal Plants; Chromatography (HPLC and GC-MS) and Spectroscopy (UV, IR, NMR, MS).
