António de Oliveira Mendes holds a Degree in Optometry and Optotechnics – Applied Physics at the University of Beira Interior. PhD in Physics (Optics / Material Sciences) at the University of Beira Interior.
Participates in scientific projects developing works in the areas of Optics, Optical Engineering and Instrumentation for the study and characterization of textile and paper materials.
