António João Albuquerque

António João Carvalho de Albuquerque is Associate Professor and Senior Researcher at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Beira Interior (Covilhã, Portugal) and at the Research Unit “Fibrous Materials and Environmental Technologies” (FibEnTech-UBI), and Guest Professor at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Federal University of Goiás (Brazil). He organized 53 technical and scientific events and was a member of scientific committees of 50 national and international scientific and technical events. He is a member of the editorial board of seven international journals and three specialized committees of the International Water Association (IWA). He is the author or co-author of approximately 360 publications, including books, patents, book chapters, journal articles, conference papers, technical standards, technical reports, and academic texts. He is/was supervisor/co-supervisor of 40 master's theses, 11 doctoral theses and 5 post-doctoral projects. He was President of the National Council of Environmental Engineering of the Order of Portuguese Engineers, Scientific Coordinator of FibEnTech, Director of the Doctoral Program in Civil Engineering at UBI, Vice-President of the Portuguese Association of Sanitary Engineering (APESB) and Vice-President of the Portuguese Association of Water Resources (APRH).
