Nuno José Ramos Belino is Director of the PhD course in Textile Engineering at University of Beira Interior. PhD in Textile Engineering, field of materials and textile physics and with a master's degree in informatics applied to textiles. He was the production director of NOVA PENTEAÇÃO E FIAÇÃO DA COVILHÃ, a vertical textile company, where he supervised the departments of weaving, finishing and textile informatics for five years. He was a consultant for the company FITECOM, COMERCIALIZAÇÃO E INDUSTRIALIZAÇÃO TÊXTIL S.A, a vertical textile company, in area of industrial automation and information technology applied to textiles. His areas of research are technical textiles, particularly medical textiles, functional textiles, functional design, textile nanotechnology, textile informatics and analysis of image and image texture applied to textile substrates. He was coordinator and team member of several nationally and internationally funded projects.
