Isolina Maria Goncalves

Isolina Maria Silva Cabral Gonçalves was born in 1958 in Aldeia do Souto – Covilhã. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering (Technology and Industry branch), with 15 out of 20, IST-UL, in 1984. Conducted Tests of Pedagogical Aptitude and Scientific Capacity on Anaerobic Treatment of Diluted Liquid Effluents, with Very Good, at UBI in 1988. Obtained the Degree of Doctor in Chemistry, on Anaerobic Removal of Textile Dyes, with Distinction and Praise, at UBI in 1994.
She was a Temporary Teacher in Secondary Education, in 1984 and 1985. Later, she was a Trainee Assistant in the Department of Chemistry at UBI, 1985-1988, becoming Assistant at the Department of Chemistry at UBI, 1988-1994. She became Auxiliary Professor in the Department of Chemistry at UBI, 1994-1999, and obtained a permanent appointment at the Department of Chemistry at UBI, 1999-2008. Since 2008, she has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry at UBI. Her scientific activity began in 1986 with research work in the field of the environment at the Department of Chemistry at UBI, having integrated the Effluent Treatment group at the UMTP Unit between 1991 and 2014. Since 2015 he has been a member of the environmental technologies research group at the FibEnTech-UBI research unit.
